Week 14 - 18
When I move out on my own . . . PROJECT!
In class students:
You have decided to move out . . . YIPEE !!!
What town are you going to live in?
What type of place are you going to live in? Dorm? Apartment? House?
You probably can't afford to live by yourself, how many roommates might you have?
Most places don't allow pets, are you willing to leave your fuzzy best friend or will you insist on finding a place that allows animals even if it cost more?
Does the rent include utilities?
If not, how much are the utilities on average?
What all utilities are there?
Will you have a vehicle?
If not, how will you get to places?
If you do have a vehicle, then what cost are associated with owning a vehicle?
So many questions! Time to start making plans.
I want a report, (number of pages TBD), that answers all these questions.
This will be worth 50 points.
Items needed in report:
1. Location you would live and type of housing.
2. Make a budget, include rent, utilities, food, vehicle cost, recreation and anything else that you might have to pay, like schooling.
3. Any interesting or unique ideas you have when you move out!
4. Have fun and be creative.
The week after Christmas break you will present your project to the class.
